switch on/off wlan with shell [answered]

I was wondering if there is some way to switch WLAN on or off using some shell command. Preferably without having to enter the root password.

You are looking for connmanctlwhich is not available by default (was removed from the package, probably intentional) read this https://together.jolla.com/question/25043/request-provide-connmanctl-with-connman/
