In the next update, please, provide for the possibility to set/change MCC and MNC parameters for Mobile Network from Settings (USER-FRIENDLY!!!).

OLD POST: Hi everyone:)

Is there a way to check the MCC and MNC settings? Since the update in june i can´t receive or send MMS. I've checked all the (others) MMS settings for my "VIPnet" network in Croatia, and they are all correct, so... MCC and MNC seem to be the only settings left.

Thanks!

What do you mean with set/change? The identity of your home network is stored on your sim from your operator. Only use case i could see is when roaming and your operator has deals with several networks. If it connects to the network, the settings are not wrong.

Not in all countries: some of our minor operators ask to set/change MCC and MNC parameters. I think that the system should give the possibility to change them. Not a must, a possibility.

wut? MCC and MNC are identifiers, it can't be choosen/changed/whatever :D

@coderus Sorry but, of course they can. Minor operators has specific settings for MCC and MNC non connected to the SIM because they depend on other operators.

Hi,

In the terminal you can run this command:

/bin/dbus-send --system --print-reply=literal --type=method_call --dest=org.ofono /ril_0 org.ofono.NetworkRegistration.GetProperties | awk '/Mobile/ {print $1" "$3}'

all on one line, it will give an answer like this below:

MobileCountryCode 204

MobileNetworkCode 08

Hope this helps.

Thanks Filip,

As you've suggested, that command line brought up the MCC and MNC settings, which were - correct. So..., I'll go back to the forum questions and answers regarding the mms problems after the june update... :)
