Prevent app to crash whole system down
App shouldn't be able to crash the whole system down, but it does for now. In my case I believe the app was mitakuuluu2 ~v0.8.5-3 or 0.8.5-4. Developer did good jub and fixed the problem in next upgrade, before I had time to send bug report.
What was happening: Especially when listen to Spotify (Android version) and mitakuuluu was running, phone suddengly was "deatd", without any warning. power was off with in second. Same happened few time. Also happened when Spoitify or any other Andrid apps were not running. I tried to spot out te reason causing all, and since mitakuuluu was just updated, I decided to restart phone and not start that app. All worked fine and problem was back after starting mitakuuluu.
Let make some things clear thought. I don't blame mitakuuluu for this. It can be any app xyz, but system should just crash the app if some problems, not the whole system. Also what cames to mitakuuluu, it is definitely a must have app, but thats another story. Just please prevent anyapp to crash the whole system down.
Could it be that you have experienced this: https://together.jolla.com/question/7144/jolla-randomly-shuts-down-10819/
Or am I misunderstanding you?
nthn ( 2014-09-04 16:21:16 +0200 )editWell everything is possible, but 1.08.19 version of SailfishOS has worked like a charm for me. And all crashing stoppes when in my case mitakuuluu was closed. And after mitakuuluu upgrade everything works again, no matter what you do.. So that's why it made me think that Sailfish fails to stop not working app aor something. Since it's not matter what the app is, operating system shouldn't crash. And since it never did it before with 1.08.19 and haven't done it again ever since.. I think it might be problem in OS. Sure I might be wrong. :)
