This might be a nitpick, but here goes: I've noticed that in my Jolla-phone, every time I change the volume and lock the screen right afterwards, the screen would light up a second later and stay that way for a while before locking like it normally should. Is this a bug or a feature, and is there a way to disable it? Because in those few seconds when the screen is unlocked, there's a good chance that I might accidentally open up a program while sliding my phone into my pocket.

EDIT by chemist: Reproduced, unlock phone -> home-screen -> inc/dec volume by rocker -> lock phone -> screen gets lit after 2.5sec and goes back to sleep after 5sec

Ooh, good find. I think I've been noticing the same bug in a different scenario: I plugin the charger, turn off the screen, and a few seconds later the screen briefly turns back on.

It seems pretty obvious (to me) what is happening: The "notification bar" (which is the same for volume changes and charging status) will turn the screen on when it finishes notifying.

I have the same behaviour on my Jolla with version 1.0.8.21. Probably a bug...

Similar to and probably the same cause as https://together.jolla.com/question/57163/volume-button-while-playing-music-issue/

Need to check that the fix covers this case too though.

EDIT: It does (but is not included in update 9 yet).

The same occurs when headphones are removed https://together.jolla.com/question/40407/screen-turns-on-when-unplugging-headphone/

@aloof: Basically all indirect reasons to turn on the display go (or at least should go) through the same logic -> applies also for headphone.
