Looking for new features to vote up is getting difficult, since most of the top results, when sorting by votes, are already implemented, and it makes little sense to vote for those again.

So it would help the site navigation if there was a way to hiderequested features that are already implemented in an official release.

One way to do that would be to use a specific tag, say "implemented" or "released", and let us filter those results out of our searches.

Released feature currently have tags like: may14 or sep14, so it should be easy to find the released features, but as releases pile up, filtering gets difficult.

Maybe a moderator could make a digest of requested features and generate polls for every update cycle. Voting answers is a little non-intuitive and cumbersome in my opinnion. A poll-box on the right with pre-formatted and concise options would certainly make me participate.

I agree that it can be difficult to find some newer request which often have no chance to get any attention. But if you click on "unanswered" and sort by vote, you get all the requests which haven't been implemented yet. Requests which were released in a software update only appear when you search for "all" requests and they carry a [released] in the title.

With the filters sort by "date", "activity", etc and search bar you have a good way to find requests that don't belong to the most popular ones.

I've already (and certainly others as well) spent several hours in trying to clean up TJC in closing/updating requests so that the "unanswered" list doesn't stay to long. But the best solution would be if each contributor takes care of created requests and close/update them whenever necessary - unfortunately many of them get forgotten and stay open even if they could be closed.

You can hide questions tagged with certain tags by adding these tags to the ignored tags list (on the right side of the screen when displaying all questions).

So if you want to hide questions with implemented features, just add the tags jan14, mar14, apr14, jun14, jul14 and so on to the ignored tags list and these questions will not be displayed anymore.
