I am experiencing the following with OS version 1.1.0.39:

  • after a phone call, the touch display is inactive, no touch input (power button and volume buttons work fine)
  • once, the same happened while writing a message in WhatsApp client app

Also, there is a strange behaviour of the touch display:

  • seems split into top and bottom halves
  • when I start to scroll in one half, I have to finish the gesture in the same half. Crossing the imaginary border cancels a transition from intro screen to apps screen, or when a slide down activates a pull down menu, crossing the border activates the item selected at the time of crossing.

To be strange enough, the total non-responsivness can be fixed by running "jolla-messages" via SSH (tried as root) ... the app produces a Segmentation fault, next run is OK. AND ... the touch response resumes to work.

Questions: Is there some tool to reset the touch display, or calibrate it some how ?

After an overnight power-off period, the device is working fine. I will check, if the problem appears again. The phone had a bit higher temperature after the long calls (is it relevant ?) .

No progress so far. The segmentation fault does not always restore the touch response. To get it working, I try at random some jolla-* apps ... I got it working also after running jolla-gallery.

My Jolla also has the "imaginary boarder". I am not able to use the Touchscreen in this boarder-area. So when I use Whatsapp I have to fade down the keyboard to get the send-button out of the imaginary-boarder-area and be able to push it. Do somebody know how to fix this or do I have to send my Jolla to the customer-service?

I had to send it back to Jolla. The repair, pick up and delivery took altogether one week :-)
