XMPP contact are online, but in message window offline

My contacts are online, i can see it in contacts and in message list. But if i want answer a message, than the contact show offline, but there is still online. I get and can send message without problems.

In the background this effect might be connected to this online-offline magic bug: (bug) XMPP cannot go directly online after dropped offline
