Strange: if you both set the ringtone volume via settings and system volume via hw buttons to zero jolla still plays a sound effect when using the pulley menu. i have to use the mute option in the pulley menu from cover view. is this intended? quite confusing...

It is intended.

The hardware keys adjust the 'speaker' volume. ie phone, music, video The ringtone volume is independently controlled in settings.

There's no adjustment for the pulley menu volume but they don't play if the device is muted.

thx! ok, then i just have to mute it. would be more intuitive if all system sounds would be controlled with the hw buttons though

Yesterday i had the same "problem" when trying to adjust the im-alert tone and couldn't change its volume anywhere.
