I am aware that there are some request regarding offline navigation for the Jolla Phone. However, as far as there is cellular coverage, it is possible to get the maps of the actual location. It may not be the best/optimal option, but I can live with that.

In the case of the tablet there is not going to be a cellular connection, therefore Maps wouldn't make any sense without an offline option. In the Highway is pretty unlikely to have a stable WiFi connection or WiFi coverage at all...

Soooo....are we getting a native HERE Maps App within SailfishOS 2.0? :-) :-)

Just for Info, there is an Android App for HERE, it's currently in beta state, but works great on Sailfish OS, i am currently using it for Navigation. It supports offline and turn by turn navigation. Maybe an alternative until the Sailfish native app gets an update. HERE for Android beta

@Gordon: I know, and I have it installed. But I'd prefer a native app and a device running only Sailfish apps.

HERE Maps are fantastic off-line navigation. It would be supremely good to have native jolla version

Why not something like OSMAnd?
