I would really like a kickstand to be added. (like on the surface 3 just as an example)

I love that you use an intel atom CPU this will make it sooo much easier to have a fully open source stack/kernel.

Liked:
1. Sailfish OS.
2. SD card support.

Disliked:
1. Intel processor / graphic.
2. Screen size - would have preferred iPad 9.7 inch.
3. Battery (4300 mAh only? Why?)

@moosiqpipl: Intel is, for the first time, facing a real threat from ARM processors. It is in our best interest - as users / buyers - to ensure that intel continues to face this pressure. The reason this, and other intel tablets / phone, are so cheap is because intel is actually subsidizing, and in many cases, selling them for a LOSS. Compare that with their desktop processors which are hugely over-priced just because they can. It's not a company that is known for its ethics or to care about their customers interest. Using intel also makes us dependent on American technology. And finally, ARM processors still out perform intel processors in low power usage which extend battery life and they are becoming more powerful as they continue to innovate.

@virgi26: Is Sailfish OS really more efficient in conserving battery than Android or ios? I don't think so. Even if it is, then doesn't it make more sense to offer a battery equal to that of the iPad mini or Nexus and then promote it saying that it gives an hour or two more? They haven't done this because Jolla wants more profit ... (which is understandable as they are still a struggling start-up).

I also would have preferred either an AMD or ARM processor, as I don't like the politics of intel. Still I can understand, that jolla would choose intel when they subsidize that heavily. But now that also some ARM players support open source graphic drivers, so you can have a fully open stack with either of them, that's nice.

I like everything except:

Battery 4300 mAh ---> Too weak (should be 6000+mAh at least).
Connectivity Wifi only --->Not enough! Should support at least 2G and 3G (+ 4G would be perfect).
The display should be OLED transreflective.

PHYS. KEYBOARD possibility (docking). A tablet is even more likely for frequently typing text compared to a phone and touch for typing is just...flawed.

Besides, a docking keyboard could provide extra battery (like the Asus TF700/Prime series) since the battery was not too impressive.

Is it going to have a compass? I use tablet for geocaching where a compass is sort of a must have

What I like:

open source friendly hardware
open boot loader (hopefully?)
Linux/GNU based OS
hardware virtualization support (hopefully enabled)
good display resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio
32GB ROM + microSD card slot (could have been 64GB ROM though :P, hope there isn't too much of the internal ROM already used for the OS)
GPS + GLONAS support (hopefully with good reception)
USB OTG
landscape mode as primary mode in the opposite to many other 7" and 8" devices which are unfortunately designed for portrait mode (at least it seems so when I look at the presentation images of the tablet and the bezel sizes)
good price (not much money wasted on things I do not need on a tablet like high-price cameras, flash, GSM)

What I don't like:

low battery capacity (even when SailfishOS is saving energy there's still the screen .., will see if it holds for a full day for e.g. mapping with screen and GPS on)
rather heavy especially considering the small battery
only 2 GB RAM (4 GB would have been better for the capabilities it has otherwise)
IPS display (no detailed specs so far, transreflective? will see how it stands up in sunlight)
display protection (only GG2 as far as I can see?)
lack of a more sensors (magnetical compass, pressure, temperature)

This is the age of the cloud. With services like dropbox and google drive, who needs a microSD card support?

It's a waste of money and resources that could be spent in adding a TOH-style feature which in itself has the capability to provide microSD card support, IMHO.

I prefer having my files on-device for situations where wifi is not available and for not relying on third-party for my data. Hence, +1 for the microSD support.

@jkkoski the tablet has 32GB available for your data and "cloud" does not mean that you don't have a local copy of your data.

I really dislike intel cpu, i can understand that you may need to be competitive and intel is giving free cpu to kill arm market, it's very tempting, yet I can't help but to hope failure for this device, you really let me down by choosing intel, i was convinced that jolla would be more sensitive about big companies killing the competition.

Dislike:

RAM. 2 GB is standard on mid-range phones by now and this is a product that is going to launch mid next year. The 64-bit OS could have been used to offer us more storage, especially since this product is aimed to multitasking, which means many applications loaded at the same time.
Intel CPU. Sorry, I don't like them.
Battery. About the same size as my 3-year-old Galaxy Tab P1000.

Like:

SD slot. I won't consider buying a mobile device without an SD slot since my N8 fell into the toilet and I could recover the data on it only because they were on the SD card.
Price.
