Would really like an extended battery capacity.

I would really like a kickstand to be added. (like on the surface 3 just as an example)

I love that you use an intel atom CPU this will make it sooo much easier to have a fully open source stack/kernel.

Q: CPU is the older Z2760, Z3740 or Z3560 ?

It's just that exFAT is not supported and SDXC cards are sold formatted with exFAT. You can buy a 64 or 128GB SDXC card and use it in the Jolla tablet (as you can in the Jolla phone) if you format it with another fs (btrfs or ext2/3/4 are supported, for example).

Dislike wifi only. I would like more RAM - this is Intel you know. Price looks good now but don't forget this will be competing will android and ipad products out in the next 6-12months and probably the same mode will ahve to last a yewar or 2. Tthe spec will look pretty old hat then and not such good value. This is exactly what happened with the Jolla phone which looks very dated now and not very good value hardware wise.

I have been reading comments from https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/jolla-tablet-world-s-first-crowdsourced-tablet/x/9174763#comments and people love Jolla tablet. Hardware specs can't be changed.

Specs look ok now, but may be quite outdated during spring... 3/4g should be must with a modern tablet, using cellphone sort of is ok, but it eats battery - heavy bummer in the age of needing constant charging, especially as it means carrying yet another device with you.

Wonderful product, which I await with anticipation.

I like the proposed specification, except for the following:

  1. Battery capacity: A high capacity battery would extend the duration between charges
  2. Micro-USB: Use of a Mini-USB socket will help durability
  3. Connectivity options: Option to have 3/4G connectivity will make the device more versatile

You have no idea how battery hungry it is and already complain about capacity - I survive a full 8h with the phone in permanent use and that has even less capacity and a GSM modem... on my avg use I make up to 5 days, at least 2 days if I be online 24/7 with the occasional check the internet if someone is wrong again... miniUSB is used on devices like FTDI programmers, externat DVD, arduino, and you have no idea if it is properly reinforced... I did not break the µUSB off my N900 and that is 5 years in now... and I tend to just pull the phone off without supporting the wire/plug...versatile, a mobile-hotspot has much more power compared to having the tablet do it...

My greatest dislike still is the micro-USB, how about using a mini-USB instead - as it seems much more durable ?

Micro-usb is so popular that it kind of has become an unofficial industry standard ... one of the reasons I guess has to with trend towards thinner devices ...

Well I did and I have never just pulled the phone off... Regarding the reinforcement, the same thing must apply for microUSB.
