It would be great to have an official keyboard that could make the tablet work as a laptop when it's needed.

probably a good Bluetooth Keyboard support would be great, too. In Android there is often the problem of QWERTY / QWERTZ etc keyboard problems.

Indeed, something like the surface keyboard cover if you ask me, keyboard and cover in one:

Ideally it should also act as a cover for the device, at least for the screen.

Covers like those can't be used as kickstand, you should need something more like the ones for the Lumia 2520. Personally, I don't like them and moreover on a less than 8" device keys would be too small to be used comfortably

Not only that but software support for keyboards and mice un the OS and the applications. In Android many times it's more a hack: scrolling a texto can be cumbersome (for example the old browser), can't input accented characters, etc.

While I would really love to use a tablet with a mouse when needed, I also think that it would lose a lot of it's gesture based experience. So probably a mouse control isn't as important to me. Nevertheless I'd totally like to type my texts on a docking-station / keyboard. Support for this in the OS and especially a purchasable jolla-native solution would be awesome. :-)

It doesn´t have to. An application can have different user profiles so, for example, when a mouse is used a rich text control activates a clickable scrollbar.

Jolla Roadmapping Meeting - Friday 16.01.2015

Thank you for your contribution to the Jolla Tablet project!

We receive a lot of ideas and suggestions, which we are grateful for, but all of them can't be implemented. We've reviewed your idea and unfortunately it is not something we can implement, at least right now.

However, we will keep all suggestions, and might revisit this decision in the future if we see an opportunity to implement this feature-request in an upcoming product/SW release.

Best regards,
The Jolla Tablet Team
