Is there a way to contribute to Jolla's applications? [answered]

Jolla website likes to remind us that it's based on an open source platform. What about the user-facing features, including applications? I don't mind assigning copyrights to Jolla Oy, and I would like to submit changes – not just request them – to some of applications they've made.

Is it possible? Should it be possible? Your call.

If you have something good that fixes some issues, why not post it here. Maybe a Jolla dev responsable for that area picks it up or gets in touch to include/rework.it with you. And other people can benefit from your work too.

The browser, notably, is open source:

https://github.com/sailfishos

That said, most are not. There's a post from a while back about Jolla's open source policy, but unfortunately not much since then.

It looks like the topic is set to be brought up at the next community meeting - you may want to keep an eye on this.

You can find the source of the CalDAV sync client (LGPL) at:

(There are 7 forks there, already)
