The blog post also says that those numbers were for the second display model, i.e. the one used in the devices shown at MWC, but which then were replaced by a third display model in order to solve the problem with yellow spots.

@luen "The third display which has similar specifications to the second display". Also, why would they share information like this for their 2nd setup if the 3rd wasn't equal or even better?

@rburkhanov Thanks for sharing that comment, worth an edit actually. Now I'd be interested to hear about the type of films used for laminating - there are ones even adding to the brightness, but the issue in real life use is mostly the reflected light. Luminance may be even a lot lower, if the effective contrast ratio is instead boosted. Something like luminance 350 with 4000:1 contrast ratio would be nice even on sunlight, and might be achievable with high quality laminates reducing the reflections. And how about ruggedization on top of that?
