People - Recent Contacts List - Allow to repeat the last performed action

Currently, in the context menu that shows the recent communications, located between the favorite contacts and the grid of initial letters, shows an icon which says whether it was a call or message.

It is likely that one would initiate the same action again. I know, i could use Phone or Messages application but it makes sense to have recent list to be made more functional. Clicking on the entry open contact as desired.

My suggestion is that =for these recent contacts listed, can we have the option to directly trigger the last performed action. I suppose clicking on icon (i actually tried if it worked that way first :-)) may not be Sailfish way of doing things. So, can the option be available on tap and hold?

From that list of recent contacts, you can tap on one of that contacts and get that contact opened, there you can choose "Call" or "Message". So the option you suggest would just be able to save one click. I'm unsure if it's worth coding such option to simply save one click.

Agree, the icons for recent activity are already there in UI. I felt, It leads user to believe that an action can be invoked from the icon. It is a nice to have feature in People application.
