If Jolla officially inform potential customers that they buy at your own risk product without the proper support (application ecosystem, spare parts, batteries, etc.) - everything would be OK.
But Jolla through advertising tells us that sell valuable products, which can compete in the market with other phones. In my opinion this is not quite true. I do not mind - I do not need a million applications, chargers, cables, and other trinkets. I`m some kinda freak :))
But - if Jolla do not begin pay more attention to after-sales support - may have trouble with prospective buyers. People quickly realize that for the price of Samsung's almost flagship they get mediocre hardware, experimental softwear and no real after-sales support (except congenial conversations on the forum) :))
I do not want to be rude - just really judge what I see. Today, the phone itself is not enough - if Jolla serious about the market and do not want to remain a niche product for enthusiasts. My wife laughs at me - "write a petition to Jolla - maybe you can buy something" :)) Christmas is upon us...
Do you really need cables and chargers from Jolla when almost any supermarket around you probably carries some kind of usb cable and usb charger?

eric ( 2014-12-04 16:56:27 +0200 )editConcerning chargers: Anybody who bought a smarphone in the last five or so years will have at least one charger at home (yay, EU standards doing something good for once). Also you can buy them literally anywhere and you get a spare with every new phone.
But when it comes to accessories I have to partially agree. What's really bugging me is the lack of a fitting rubber bumper for Jolla (Lastu or any wallet type case is not very pocket friendly).
Sadly, TOH development and distrubution has also not lived up to it's full potential - different colors with automatic ambience is more of a marketing gag than anything.

michel ( 2014-12-04 17:38:21 +0200 )editIf Jolla is concentrating on the essential things, that's completely OK for me. I don't need any branded stuff. On the other hand I think it's an easy way for Jolla making some extra money. The only thing what I really missed was the battery, because I can't just by it from somewhere else. But at least there will be a limited batch. So I will hopefully get one of these. But @albacoris is in one point right. It just looks a little bit strange for a potential new customer, when he enters the Jolla store and sees all items are out of stock. So maybe it would be better to remove items which are no longer available.
