I make an update here, because time go on, and some features were improved in new sfos. and some are still there. And it it maybe interesting to refresh the memory with some ideas which were here described...

First i want to say, the whole gesture and gui concept of the sailfish on jolla phone is great. But there is some little thing that i missed, maybe that you missed too. I want to make a poll here just for make a little exhaustive list for the jolla team for which little things could be changed that it improve the experience of this os. Some little things may have some big impact. Choosen os is sailfish 1.0.8.21, because that it's the last public update.

Please, that's a poll, it is expected that each answers are a wiki community. Thanks in advance

It is welcome, if there are some comments which informs, if those lack are on further opt-in update or not. It's Just to know in which direction has worked the team :-)

If the screen is locked and you swipe from the bottom to see the notifications, it doesn't go to the notifications after you enter the security code.

Sorry it is a lttle bit unclear for me what you've remark... Do you mean that after swiping from bottom, you would like to give first security code to be able to go to notifications?

I do have to enter the security code, but after that sailfish shows me the homescreen instead of the notifications.

by me notification stay as long as i let my finger on the screen. then it disappear again. I found that ok as long as none unlock the screen.... maybe with your remark, you have right in a way that at this point, the actions are not so clear for the user, what happened if it do something or what is expected if in do an action. Is a little bit confused. Someone should give a look at this point for a clear and user-friendly way to handle.

one to switch between the last two apps.

@cemoi71: I get the notifications if you use the proper syntax. Can't do much about other user using capital E, Askbot doesn't do this check AFAIK, you might want to file an upstream request to see if an upcoming version could fulfil your need: http://askbot.org/en/questions/ Thanks!

Notification about an app which want to connect on an interface:

Today I've observed that, something (i can't tell what) try to connect to the internet with the wlan but can't do it. I just see that the big logo to activate wlan appear like if it is needed to reconnect it. I don't have any idea which part of os or app want to connect. Naturally i could ask jolla-dev team to support and ask how could i identify this. And i will do. But it will be really fine, if this interface notify which part want to connect to. Something like "application xxx or interface yyy want to connect to internet" (maybe with the target address too).

Extern Account update activity In Menu Option, we can configure an account in which the phone could synchronise his data (jolla account, google account, facebook and so on...). The simple fact that if we make an update of any account, we don't see any activity if it's on the way, or it is aborted, or successful bring a lots of questions...

I find it will be fine, that a visual effect show if the system is on working. And a visual effect with a message tells if it's aborted or is successful. It's a little thing (i think) which could bring so much in user-friendliness ...

I got shortly an other mini issue about the phone app. It is a comfort issue: Some of my contacts have many phone number. And if i go the calling-story, i don't see the number that have called. In some case i can't make the different if i made a call to the cellphone of a person or to is home-phone. Is quite disturbing! for me

I would also like this feature, with multiple numbers for 1 contact you have to go into 'People' and find their record to be able to select the correct number first.

Wrong Problem but Stay here as how-to.

~~About impossibility to manage/de-install native apps off-line:~~

It is impossible to manage/de-install an app if there is no Ethernet communication established. The jolla app manager don't allow to see the own installed app. what if if i am in no-mans-land (maybe without electricity to power the wlan), and i want manage my apps? For my part i wish a simply way, user-friendly and safe to manage and de-install native apps offline.

In the matter of fact, as @nthn advised me:
- we can uninstall apps by long pressing on the home screen.
- Then tapping the 'x' under the app you want to uninstall.

Doesn't get much more user-friendly, i agreed.

Huh? Of course it's possible to uninstall things offline. You can also install things offline, as long as you have an rpm locally available.

hmm maybe, but i guess it isn't so easy. My action is in situation on a non skilled person, who want to do it in a user-friendly and safe way. could you give us please how it works. Links or descriptions. It will be nice from you. thanks in advance

You can uninstall apps by long pressing on the home screen, and tapping the 'x' under the app you want to uninstall. Doesn't get much more user-friendly if you ask me.

~~About lock screen...~~

If find a little bit strange, after we pull from extreme above side right down. should active the lock screen. The padlock logo informs about this detail that phone is locked. But after that,some second after if we tapp the screen, it goes on unlocked. It seems to be that the screen goes in lock mode just with the defined time-out in option. Oups...

In reality a expect that if i want to lock the screen, then the screen should be directly locked. Should not wait of the defined time-out! that's wrong. Auto-lock is just in case that the device is leaved from user without that he pull the lock down.

clock functionalities: There is a little thing that i missed. We can just configure the clock with sound. no way to have just sound or vibration (sad).

It would be great to have the possibility to separate both of them to have the possibility to check one of them or both.
Sometimes i need just sound (for gently waking)
sometimes just vibrations (for discreet waking, - depends on material in contact - )
sometimes both (for strong waking)
we could add a further option: the display light-blinking too for really strong waking function...
