In stock browser, in order for the page history to become visible you have to tap on the url. This brings up the keyboard and at the same time a list with visited pages is shown below the url field. Now, when in landscape mode, the keyboard takes up too much screen real estate, more than half of the screen. In order to actually see the list of the visited pages, you have to scroll down, but the available area for doing that is very small. If the page you're looking for is further down the list, you have to slowly scroll little bit at a time... I find this quite annoying.

Are there any plans to correct this usability problem?

As a workaround you should be able to just close the keyboard by swiping down on it.

Unfortunately not, as closing the keyboard closes the browser history as well! The saved bookmarks are then shown instead...

Oh yeah, you're right. This is indeed quite frustrating then.

Thanks for sharing this. I never even realized the history was availabke in such a simple way. As another workaround, you can temporarily turn the phone to portrait. Simples!

@pichlo yes I know, but this is just that: A workaround :) Thanks anyway!

I don't know when this was fixed. In the latest browser when I try to scroll through the history results, the keyboard disappears automagically.
