In the current version (1.0.2.5), a contact must have at least one of (firstname, lastname, nickname). If you want to create a record for a contact without a personal name, you can use the nickname field for this - for example, you may have the number for your local library branch, stored as 'Library'.
The organization can also be stored, in the 'Company' field of the 'Details' section. This property is metadata, so you will need to have one of the ndentification fields non-empty as well. This property breakdown is in line with vCard properties - a vCard record must have a valid name or nickname field to identify a contact, and can optionally contain metadata fields including the organization that a contact represents, where appropriate.
I agree.
We also need to be able to search contacts so that the search will include the "company" field as well. This is highly important in the business world, but at the moment users can only find contacts by remembering their first or last name.
