Haven't been able to find a previous answer to thi.

If I were to purchase a second Jolla phone, can I simply add it to my existing Jolla account. And, if so, since I am a 'First One' does that mean that the new phone will receive 'First One' priority of the staged releases of OS updates or have to wait hours/days until the more general release?

Hi strongm - I sold my First One, I simply needed the cash.

I did end up buying another Jolla some months ago. As a result, the entry of ownership of the First One was removed from my Jolla account and the new one added - but here's the thing (I don't know if this works for those who did NOT buy a First One), I wanted to learn and play around with ambiences. I learned from other forum members that you can install ambiences from the Jolla Store but only using Terminal - So, I typed in; pkcon install ambience-the-first-one - it downloaded and installed!, I still have the ambience now - but should I really be able to have it?, as I no longer physically own the 'First One'?

So to answer your question in a roundabout fashion - I would tentatively say YES as you are a First One owner, you are more likely to be a priority with some OS releases (bearing in mind that some of us signed up via email for beta releases, of which you should have been offered as a First One owner).

Regards

Yep, I'm aware of installing ambiences and of the opt-in release.

My main difference to you would be that I would have TWO phones. So what I am really trying to find out is if the second phone would be considered as a First One phone even though the original phone is still associated with my Jolla account and would remain active.

As far as I know, the 'First One' status is tied to your Jolla account and will thus apply to the new phone as well.
