Hi,

today I found to problems that where new to me, which I did have with the older Version of Sailfish.

The worst of the probleme was as follows:

A few days ago my Jolla shutdown while an instand before the status was 20 % of the battery, message: battery low.

Today I had a similar problem battery showed 2 % of energy, while there was no sign of of low energy before. The phone shut down. When I restarted the phone it would imietly shut down again. When I pluged in the the phone the phone showed suddenly 71 % of energy in the battery.

The other problem is not that imported... I noticed that when I play music/video in one app and then in an other app it would not work properly as in older versions of Sailfish, where a start of playing music in one app and stopps playing in the other and when the second app stopps playing continous playing in the wirst app... ...now... it wouldn't play in neighter or in both, or stops playing in the first app, but doesn't continue playing in the first app thereafter... I tried it in serverall video and audio sailfish apps.

I've recently experienced similar issues re battery levels being reported and unexpected shutdowns. May be coincidence but I have recently installed Situations. Have you installed this too?

Try to turn off the phone. Remove battery. Insert battery only after 15/20 minutes. With the phone off, charge it until the screen mark 100% AND the led is blinking.

I had a similar issue and got solved by removing the battery and putting it back in after some time... My battery showed 48% and then in a minute it showed 2% and shut down. It happened multiple times till I removed the battery and put it back

This is a well known phenomenon, related to the battery. My Jolla also suffered this fate. It started with random shutdowns, progressing to getting stuck in a boot loop. Increasing in frequency to the point of the device becoming unusable. Finally, I had to send it in to get it fixed. To solve the problem, the battery was replaced. No more troubles since then.

A temporary solution is apparently to insert a little bit of paper under the battery, pressing it tighter on the battery connectors. I never tried that myself. It also helps to let the battery drain completely, then take the battery out of the phone for at least 10 minutes, reinsert the battery and charge it, then turn on the phone again. In my case, this helped for about two weeks the first time, but only a few days later on.

I think it's best to contact care@jolla.com and request a repair. It's a pita to be without the phone for a week or two, but after that it's fixed properly.

Well, I haven't thought of it als an hardware issue, because of never having that issue before. I use my Jolla now about nine month. Why can't the battery then be bought on the online shop?

sometimes they put new batteries on the store, check Together, they will post here when it will append.
