Hi, I received my phone 2 or 3 weeks ago (I assume it had 1.1.1.26). After trying to install Vaarainjärvi 1.1.1.27 (don't even know if it succeded) the phone entered in a boot loop: it tries to boot and then switches off. I'm following the procedureI found on together.jolla.com .

However, the telnet connection to 10.42.66.66 ALWAYS times out (just once worked briefly). I know I may not have the best connection (55 ms ping was the lowest I got), but do people have to have a top notch internet connection to work on their phone? Is there some some way to do it offline? Please help.

Cheers, Vittorio

Please add more information to your question and tell us which computer operating system you are using; Windows?, Mac?, Linux?

The telnet connection to the phone is independent from your internet connection, because it should be a local IP connection over USB. As @Markkyboy said, please tell us which OS you are using on your Computer. Maybe there is a wrong network configuration in your OS. How does your Jolla behave when in recovery mode? Does the Jolla Symbol show up on the Display and is the LED constantly on, as described in https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202208763#21 ?

Hey guys,

Thanks for the quick reply. I´m using windows 7, but it's a special image that comes from my company :) I'm now thinking it may have a special network configuration (but once this morning the recovery tool did open). The Jolla Symbol does show up on the Display and is the LED constantly on. Additionally on the top left corner, with a very very small font (the whole writing could fit on the nail of my thumb :) ) it says: "fastboot mode

manufacturer: Jolla Product: Jolla "

Has it ever happened to anyone? Thanks again

You could also be running into this issue: https://bugs.nemomobile.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780

If there is a usb interface check that everything is ok, eventually set it manually to avoid the bug.

Sorry if im dumb or a like but why use telnet if you got ssh working? SSH runs just fine.

We are talking about the recovery mode. In recovery mode the phone is only accessible via telnet.
