Phone speaker dead, CSD not workig, Ambience selection gone [answered]
Hello my friends!
Today, I noticed that my phone speaker won't work anymore. Not the loud speaker but the small one. The one you put on your ear to hear the people you talk to :D
Quick fix was to put it on loud speaker. Talking, or better "hearing", over Bluetooth works fine and also if headphones are plugged in.
On the search for solutions I came across something about different Ambiences and settings. But my Ambience selection screen is not available anymore. The one you reach by sliding right or left when in the second home screen...
I also came across the all praised CSD-tool. But hey, when its Monday its Monday right? calling ##310## gives me a "Problem with service request" and executing csd in Terminal gives me the following:
"error: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set in the environment.
[C] unknown:0 - Failed to create display (no such file or directory)"
I know this looks like a 3 in 1 Question, but I have a hunch all this might be connected somehow. Do you have any ideas or know how to help me? Or is it time to send in my phone?
Many thanks in advance!
P.S: in an all quiet environment, when I call a number I hear a very faint "static" sound which disappears into total quietness after a few seconds. It sounds like when you plug in a badly grounded guitar into an amplifier. You know, like a humming sound...
You can change Ambience in the Gallery. And also in the Gallery you can set a picture as a new ambience. Hope that would help!
