EDIT 2015-05-03: it seems the Silica reference is back online: https://sailfishos.org/develop/docs/silica/

@Jolla: with regards to user experience and search engine optimization I suggest to 301-redirect the old URLs, though.

It seems that both the Silica Reference (archived version) and the Common Pitfalls (archived version)pages have been removed with the relaunch of sailfishos.org.

I wasn't able to find them anywhere else. Are they still available online?

  • If they have moved to another place, a 301 redirect would be a good idea.
  • If they have been removed, please consider to bring them back online :)

The Silica Reference is only available in the SDK for now.

I've been wondering very same thing and that was nice to know.

However, it would be still nice that the site had a page which says that documentation isn't online now but will be there in future..

Thanks @leszek - So does anyone know whether this is temporary or permanently? After all, it is not possible to link to the IDE e.g. in a forum, actually there are hundreds of dead links to these pages now. Also, don't expect people to always have the IDE open when they want to look something up.

SRSLY... How hard is it to bring it back? A junior admin's job for 15mins...

@smoku, unless they are going to bring it back a reworked version but even in that case if the updated version is deemed to delayed, then they should IMHO bring back the originals with disclaimer on them.

@jjaone thanks for the heads-up, somehow I had missed the key paragraph of that announcement. The answer is in there:

Currently the SDK includes Tutorial, Design and API Documentation, and these are not available on the website.

I have added a request to bring these pages back online there, closing this.

@tokaru: Yep, and I comply with your request that these documentation should be made available and back on-line in sailfishos.org site ASAP, so lets vote and discuss this issue on the linked conv. that you provided.
