[Bug][1.1.1.27] Gallery does not play well with renamed files [duplicate]

Action: Rename the file underlying file of a gallery item (for example with File Browser).
Expected outcome: Gallery shows the item with a new file name.
The actual outcome: Gallery still shows the item but with the old name and deleting the item from the gallery does not work. The item preview is empty, but the thumbnail is unchanged.
Note that deleting the file with File Browser yields expected results: the corresponding Gallery item is also deleted.
Steps to reproduce:
- Take/make a picture
- View it with Gallery app
- Rename the file (for example with File Browser app)
- View it again with Gallery app. The item still exists, but with the old name. Deleting the item does nothing. The item has a thumbnail but the picture preview shows nothing.
As pointed out by rudi, (which I also missed completely), your question is a duplicate.
