Most of the time when I close the browser, it's because I'm done and no longer wish to view any of the open tabs. The current implementation stores all open tabs and restores them when I open the browser. I then have to wait for all tabs to load before opening a new page, or close all tabs myself while they're loading. Please add an option to the browser to start without previously open tabs.

As an option this would be nice. Though keeping the tabs open is a nice back up in case the browser should crash.

about:newtab also would be nice, or whatever the favourites page is called, so I could use it as start page.

@Tobbe - isn't that a normal browser behaviour? If crash-close then preserve tabs and if normal-close then forget tabs. :) Or that's how I've always thought browsers should work. :P

@eson - if you make your homepage (in settings) about:blank you get the blank/favourites page. However, you need to get focus to the title/search in order to wake up the bookmarks. So maybe just adding autofocus to the search bar as an option - although this would annoy people because the VKB would pop up.. Hmm.. Jolla needs to implement about:bookmarks :P

@raketti Nope, already tried that. Can't even enter about:blank in settings... and there don't seem to be one.

This seems to come in a future release: https://github.com/sailfishos/sailfish-browser/pull/430

oh, sorry, I didn't get what you meant at first. Yeah, guess that's an option, but I'd rather have it happen automatically

If you surf in private the tabs closes when you close the browser.

yes, but when I open it again it still loads a page (home). I don't want the browser to load anything
