After demoing Sailfish OS 2.0 many users have concerns of removing the swipe from the top to close a current app. My suggestion is a new two-finger swipe (from the top) for that.
Further, while peeking, a lock icon can be displayed on the bottom of the screen so that the user can lock the device by continuing the swipe all the way to the bottom.

Keep swipe to close app with ONE finger, what the hell we need to access ambience view everywhere.?
@JSE Is there a correct answer for this? Since you can still close apps via top swipe, I'd say this is outdated. Please stop this karma farming :(

1. Just close the questions, don't accept answers that aren't really the reason for closure (like this one)
2. Add closing reasons as comments, not as answers (especially old questions) so they don't pop up at the main page

Two finger swipe to to access the new ambience menu or whatever that is might be ok for me. And keep the one finger swipe as it is.
And I think I saw a video from sailfish 2.0 that when you use three fingers on the screen you can control sound level.

Swipe down to close (app and phone) is so intuitiv, like a falling curtain or a closing roller blind. It will be very sad to remove it.
Two finger swipe to access ambience is a better idea because I recommend a quick access if ambiences come to be more a user profile with more settings (https://together.jolla.com/question/1319/additional-options-for-ambience/)

Or you could put a close X button on the ambience screen if you swipe down while an app is full screen.

Well, I think the easiest way is a mix of the 1.X one-finger swipe from top and the new one from 2.0. Explanation: - When within an app, one-finger swipe from top close the app like in 1.X (when enabled) - When everywhere else (home, event view, partner view when the app isn't maximized, launcher), one-finger swipe from top display the new lock device/ambiance switcher UI.
And we can keep the setting to disable app-closing gesture, in such case, it just acts like 2.0 already does.

Suggestion: Let ambiences be "apps". That way the ambiences can be located together with the apps/folders on app drawer, so no need for swipe from top to change ambience. Instead swipe from top can be used for closing app/locking device.

too complicated. what do you do more often? Changing ambiances or closing apps/screen? Let's keep the one finger gesture for the more often used action.
