I have one Problem: My Jolla is connected via Bt to Fiat 500 Blue & Me and i want to transmit sound output ( Waze Navigation, MP3 Playback etc.)

I don´t know how it´s implemented at BT Stack to notify an incomming call to the other device, but could it be simulated and overlaying transmitted ringtone with audiosignal? So the Car-audio would play black because it will think a call is comming.

Or i´m wrong at all?

Check what BT profiles your car stereo supports, you need HFP for hands free, and A2DP for mp3 playback.

Would definitely be a good idea. I have thought about a similar problem: https://together.jolla.com/question/84999/make-output-of-notification-sounds-to-bluetooth-speaker-optional/ Maybe this could be a solution. But I do not know if it is really possible to my extend.

I have a toyota yaris and it works fine, I listen to music and I also had a couple skype calls on the road with jolla using ad2p. so it must be the fiat system

Does the change of BT type make more than name and icon? Just found the type is Headset, now changed to Car Handfree (but not tested jet, will keep you uptodate)

Where do you edit the type exactly?

System > Bluetooth > turn on > Devices "long press" > show Settings > Type

Thx! One never ceases to learn. :) Do you also happen to know, which config files those settings represent? Could be the key to the answer of my question.
