Settings/Apps/Browser - Options to turn on and off under Privacy tab;

  • Do not track
  • History
  • Cookies
  • Saved passwords
  • Cache
  • Favourites

I want to turn off 'Saved passwords', which I can do with a short press. If I leave the menu and go back, the options I unchecked are now checked again. Even by unchecking EVERY option, I still find my password is still saved. Saving the username would be better for me, not the password.

Why are the browser settings not honouring my choices?

Those are not "options to turn on and off under Privacy tab".

Instead, those are toggles for what private data will be cleared when the "Clear" button is pressed.

The only persistent option on the "Privacy" screen is "Do not track", which works correctly when you leave and return to that screen.

Agreed!, I've misunderstood what I was looking at, thanks for clarification. {Brain-fart!}
