Hello,

my Jolla has been behaving bad lately.

  • Android apps work randomly ie. tend to shut down or get stuck for a long while or take ages to start or touch stops working (mainly whatsapp) Or you don't know whether they are running on background or not.
  • even native applications are slow and seeing very often "Wait" / "Close" dialogue
  • battery ran out today in 4 hours (have usually managed whole day)

Memory seems to be running high (80-85%) even if nothing is consuming more than 5%. Talked with another Jolla owner and he is not seeing same. Any tips what I could do? How to do a "clean install" with least effort? I was one of the First Ones so I am bit worried there may be some payload that has been gathered over time.

Any tips how to get back to normal (or at least make sure it is as good as it can be)?

I'm also having your first two issues + memory occupation message when the phone is far from being full. I'm also experiencing random restarts.

I bought the phone with the hope of seeing an evolution. It's a great idea but comes with lots of troubles.

If you see random restarts clean your battery contacts.

Does this happen soon after reboot too, before launching any apps? What's your SFOS version?

I am running Yliaavanlampi 1.1.2.16. I don't in practice have phone so that it would not be running apps so hard to say if there are issues before apps open. or do you mean memory consumption?

Doing it right now. Already before when I was doing this with terminal I got

    [root@Jolla nemo]# btrfs fi show
ERROR: unable get label Inappropriate ioctl for device
Label: 'sailfish' uuid: 4b9a7c4f-83c2-49be-b2b7-6fe67cc12eae
Total devices 1 FS bytes used 6.58GiB
        devid 1 size 13.75GiB used 9.73GiB path /dev/mmcblk0p28

Btrfs v3.16

I wonder what the ERROR means? Oh, now noticed it was also in instructions provided above. Maybe something that can be ignored?

Managed to get memory usage down, but to be honest no radical help for the original issues above. Any other tricks to try?

sorry had no tip. the error above is ok. to be ignored. i am running the balancer more often then once. try it 5 to 10 times

last statement from me:-) balancing with 10gb free did not help much for my allocation. only when i deleted another 3gb.
