Not sure if this is a bug or just an odd feature, but if I open the events view while in the lock screen, then close it, I'll be dropped down to the app switcher. Then I have to go back up to lock.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, probably is. Will tag when I'm sure.

I see it as a feature. From lock, via events (notifications) to home screen. Shutting down the screen can also be done by "closing" the home screen (swipe from top), so it's pretty fast to check the notification and turn the screen off again (double tap, swipe from botton, swipe from top, swipe from top)

The manual says "Swipe from the bottom edge again to go back to where you were, or from the side to go to Home." - so really you should get back to lock screen if swipe from bottom. What happens when you "close" the event screen - swipe from the top - isn't really clear. To home screen would be what I would prefer.

You don't have to go to the lock screen to turn off display by swiping from the top. That's possible from the home screen as well.
