I most times have very big problems to connect my headphone to jolla. If I do it before opening the media player or after it is already opened - it doesn't matter. The music plays out of the boxes. I then re-plug headphones in several times / reopen app and sometimes restart the phone and then it works at some time. I yet hadn't find a way to reproduce after which step it works.

Am I really the only one with this problem?

It's not really related to https://together.jolla.com/question/6480/problem-with-audio-jack-when-connected-to-stereo-via-aux/ but I have this problem too

What kind of earphones and player? I use normal 3.5mm without mic and that works as expected, both with stock media player with mp3 and with cutespotify. It doesn't matter what order I do things, starting media or plugging in earphones, it comes out of the earphones every time they are installed.

I have Noontech Zoro headphones but the cable got broken some time ago so I have this replacement http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B009YFYT3Q/

As a side note. After music started I have no problems at all listening to it hours long and moving around.

I have same problem but (after many test) only with headphone with stereo+microphone (I have tritton kunai) but it seems work well with a simple stereo headphone. btw it NEVER works if I unplug the microphone from the headphone and it works sometimes when I plug it

Have this problem on my Xperia 10 now. I connect the headphone jack and nothing happens; sound continues to come out through the phone. Bluetooth headset works fine tough.

I most likely found the source of this problem at least in my case and it is really a strange one!

If I plug the jack in slowly (pin by pin) it works. If I plug it in really fast it never works. I reproduced it many times in a row (first fast, then slow and once again...). The mediaplayer ran in focus the whole time.

Please try this. Important to know if anyone can reproduce this behaviour!
