1.1.4.29 sdcard images not accessible in gallery

First I thought the sdcard wasn't mounter (this has happen quite many time in earlier versions), but whan I tried to manually mount it, I got a message that it was already mounted. Turns out that all the files are there, but the only way to access my 2000+ photos are by file browser, which makes it ludicrously difficult to look at the images.
The images stored on the phone are still accessible.
@Trizt - sounds like tracker isn't doing its job. Open Terminal and type in

It may take a while for tracker to reindex 2k+ images, so be patient.I'm having this same issue with the photos taken with the Jolla Camera and stored to the phone, only the last ~250 photos are shown (out of ~300) in Android apps. And yes, tried updating tracker, tried reebooting, but no effect.
