Hi i hope someone can help me.I've installed the android app 'chatsecure' on my jolla,also my friend on his android. l have also activated the same acount on jolla xmpp.So i have a notification sound and a message if my friend want a secret chat with me. Chatsecure on Jolla don't give me a sound even it is open.My problem,if i make a click on the lock for encrypt the chat i become two messages from my friend with jolla xpmm. This messages are start with otr= and then a lot of letters........whot is this? This are keys for encryption?Must i deactivate xmpp acount on jolla? Excuse my nope question and my bad english. Thank you regido

Hei,

After clicking the lock, your messages are encrypted, just as you mention it. Jolla's XMPP client does not support ChatSecure's encryption. After that, what you receive in your Jolla's XMPP client is the actual encrypted message from your friend.

OTR (that is what the string says at the beginning OTR:) is not implemented in Jolla's unified messenger yet. This request is asking for OTR to be implemented. After Jolla does that you would not need to use ChatSecure (it is just another xmpp app) as long as you do not need to send files (as that is also not available in Jolla's unified messenger).

ahhhh thank you very mutch for help. So this messages are not a problem for Sicurity.Its only a little boring......i hope that jolla will include OTR.....i've seen the questions.Thank you,thank you ;))
