mail client: recognize contact by mail address

Feature Request:
In the mail client, I want to see full contact information (i.e. name, phone-number,..) identified by the mail address for contacts stored on the phone. This is IMHO an essential feature for any phone with e-mail capability. (It is a standard feature in Android and iOS.)
The Problem:
When I would like to call somebody who just sent me an e-mail, I have to start up the contacts app and search, there is no connection from the mail client to contacts.
Unfortunately, I cannot even search for mail addresses in the contacts app. So when there is a mail from an address without a name (like press@companyx.com) I am lost.
