[Help needed] Flashed recovery image is too old and does not support phone clearing [even with recent recovery-menu] [not relevant]
Hi,
After resetting my Jolla to factory settings, I started system update which couldn't finish successfully. After a couple of reboots, now when choosing "Reset device to factory settings" I get the error message as in subject. Jolla boots fine but all I can see is logo for a while and then the screen is always black.
What can I do to get it back to normal?
Thank you.
Did you follow the Reset procedure which includes coping the latest recovery-menu (>v0.2.7) from download/sd-card via shell option? https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204709607#32

Any other suggestions?
Thank you.

Sorry to hear that did not work for you. Have you contacted jolla care? They did respond within 24h in two cases i had questions and helped me fix things. What is the reason for you wanting to reset in the first place? Failed system update to 1.1.4.29?
mosen ( 2015-05-11 09:49:13 +0200 )editYeah, i did. They said me to repeat it for 7-8 times, but I'm nearly sure it won't do anything. But I'll try
