Privacy issue: Facebook integration in Sailfish [answered]
Hy guys,
I wonder, what happens, when I connect my facebook account with my Jolla phone: Are my contacts sent to facebook? Are my contats synched? (Is my phone asking facebook whether or not my contact in the Sailfish-addressbook is existing in Facebook? Or is it checking which details in both addressbooks are existent?) Are only the contatcs in facebook downloaded without giving away what is saved in my local Sailfish?
What other privacy issues am I running into, when i connect with Facebook? Can it track my location by Wifi-network, even when I disable GPS?
I am a bit confused. Please help, thanks!
If you are using the current version of Sailfish OS (1.1.4), the Facebook account integration does nearly nothing. The reason is, that Facebook has stripped down many features in their current API. See more here:

ossi1967 ( 2015-05-20 14:57:29 +0200 )editThat is true. But even if I do not post anything there or give my data away, I want to see what others post. And in this regard, they do perfectly get along. Don't they? ;-)

That extra level of control is one of the attractions of Jolla. I'd rather access Facebook through a Jolla than through their app on Android.
