Backup won't restore all data correctly
Hej Sailors!
I got my phone back from repair. Now I tried to restore my data with a backup. The weird thing is: The backup restores my data only partly and faulty.
For example: I had 120 contacts - now I have one. I had about 200 pictures - now I have 41. In settings/accounts I can see my xmpp account. But the account is not shown in the events view, so that I cannot activate it.
What is the reason for this behavior? If I look into the backup at my computer, I can see that all pictures and so on are existing...
Thank you!
Daniel
Restoring backups from another release version especially newer version can cause these issues.

Because you have to copy/move it with terminal commands to keep the permissions like discussed here or just by creating the .tar archive on your SD card and moving this archive to your pc (and later import it into your Jolla again).

@Alex: I used the internal backup-tool, copied the file on my sd-card, which I moved to my computer...
Daniel ( 2015-05-20 23:00:36 +0200 )editolder backups should not be a problem, in any case you can always restore from sdcard and the go to terminal and copy the stuff you need by hand and setup accounts by hand, the backup does not hold much anyway, you should be able to import the blank backups when you copy them to some place the system reads them, eg all.vcf to somewhere you can navigate to from "import from file" and stuff
