[BUG][bug 1.1.4 / Äijänpäivänjärvi], all apps suddenly not "clickable" [duplicate]
Duplicate of https://together.jolla.com/question/76536/bug-no-app-touch-input-focus-but-in-lock-home-launcher/
This has now happened at least twice. Apps can be started from the luncher page, but once inside any of the running apps nothing is possible to click. They can be minimized and closed, but nothing inside them reacts. Its like big part of UI controls inside lipstick has become static. I didn't at the time try to log in using ssh and restart lipstick to see if it helps, but I will the next time if I'm at home.
This is the third issue that seems to be related to UI parts getting frozen, static or non-clickable or what we should call it. The first one (old, old issue) is that main email page all too often gets frozen if coming from notifications page, reading mail and going back to main page. The second one is that the messenger can get stuck when trying to reply to a message. The edit field where one clicks to get the vkb simply doesn't react, like its dead or become static.
So, there's a feeling that there is something going on with UI becoming non-reactive in different ways, maybe their cause is.completely unrelated, but they are in the same neighborhood from a usability point of view. This last one is so serious that only a shutdown and restart gets the phone back working. Even the Power Menu that I have installed doesn't work as a solution in this state, because if I double-tap the power button to show the menu (with intention to reboot), I do get the menu popped but nothing in it is clickable. Just like all other apps.
I haven't made a clean install of Sailfish for some releases back now, so I can not tell if this cumulative updating has caused my Jolla to get into being prone to these issues, so I hope someone can confirm this. It is irritating as hell all these small usability issues, and that is my biggest gripe with the Jolla phone and sailfish, because they just seem to linger on and on and on.
I have had the same problem ... once shortly after upgrading, a reboot solved the issue, haven't seen it since.
Kim ( 2015-05-21 11:13:26 +0300 )editI've had this too. It seemed to me that all taps were disabled, and the only interaction still recognized was the swipe from the edge. I had to turn the phone off with the power button to recover, as the only operations I could perform with edge swipes were unlock, and switch to events view.
Andy Branson ( 2015-05-21 11:29:27 +0300 )editSeems like ghost keyboard, can you "feel" kbd in app/home screen?
tathhu ( 2015-05-21 11:52:05 +0300 )editnot sure what you mean with "feel", tathhu. But if you vibration feedback in messenger bug, then no.
Larswad ( 2015-05-21 12:05:09 +0300 )editYou "can use" the virtual kbd (you can't see it but you can feel its vibra) when nothing else works if this is thaaat very annoying bug. not the best answer, sorry..
