I had to do a factory reset via Recovery Mode after a system update failure, probably because I forgot to uninstall Warehouse. After the reset, I can download the 1.0.2.5 update and start upgrading, but the upgrade stops at about 40%, the phone reboots. After this, I can't update my phone or install anything from the Jolla Store, including developer mode. I have followed the steps in guides provided by Jolla, but no luck.

I have tried to reset the phone several time, only to run into the same problem again and again. I am now stuck in 1.0.0.5 with no ability to upgrade the phone or install apps.

E: I noticed that after a Factory Reset, when you input your Jolla account and the phone starts searching for apps, it doesn't find any. I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem (or is it because the OS is at version 1.0.0.5), but I thought it's worth mentioning.

Also the phone sometimes offers me 1.0.0.5 as an update. I can download it and try to install it, but the phone only shows the progress bar for a few seconds before restarting.

considering the answers below, I can only give the advice I give on all of those occasional upgrade issues, do not attempt to do anything with a factory reset device but upgrade, no device-lock-code, no installing apps, no setting up accounts but the Jolla account, no restoring backups, just nothing but -> factory reset -> connect to internet and setup jolla account -> upgrade as often as needed (from 1.0.0.5 it should be twice I think) to get to current release - doing anything but that has caused several issues, if you are unlucky you need to send it in for recovery (if you do not know a way to recover the internal storage device manually)

This is the way I have done it. Factory reset -> only Jolla account and Internet connection -> search update -> upgrade. The update is downloaded, but at about 40% the update stops, the phone reboots and now cannot download anything from Jolla store.

1,5G is in use before I download the update. I am able to download the update, and the phone doesn't give any memory errors at all.

Have you tried to install the update again without resetting the device? Sometimes the second attempt to install works. Wifi ON, MobileData OFF? Date correct? Last but not least, what you can try is to reset -> enable dev mode -> upgrade to 1.0.2.5 by hand from terminal -> upgrade to latest

Yes, I have checked these and I have read the Jolla Zendesk article as well. No luck with these.

To be able to use Jolla store you only need your Jolla account credentials and you should add a Jolla account on your phone.

I have added it every single time. Confirmed on a PC that the account works.

Yes, I have set and check the phone's date and time after the reset every time.

I had sent the phone to have it's screen repaired, and the problem was solved that way.
