Hi Someone know how to save online video, for example from Facebook, after playing in the browser? Maybe browser cache it somewhere ? Or any how-to for download online video? Thanks.

Hmmm... find a way to do this with LLs vPlayer ;)

I'm using youtube-dl for downloading my lecture videos from YouTube for watching them offline. Recently I discovered that this tool - despite its name - could handle a lot more sites. It seems that it supports facebook as well.

So if a command line tool is fine for you, you may give it a try. I downloaded and installed this tool directly on the phone and created a symlink from /usr/local/bin/python to /usr/bin/python3 for having the option of directly invoking the binary.

You can use YT Player (available in the jolla store) to download youtube videos

I know... but you can't save facebook video.. With LLs vPlayer you can...

Check out Webcat, it does the job using LLs vplayer. (Pull down when watching video.) Edit: I don't even have FB-account so haven't tested it there. But it should work.

Yes, it should work. I use stock browser and just copying the direct link and paste it to the LLs vplayer. It allow me to download file, but file saved without suffix (.mp4), you need just rename this file and add ".mp4" to the end of name.

Atleast from the sites I've tried, Webcat saves files with suffix, so you won't need to add it. I quite like that function on it.
