Firefox has a trackingprotection feature since version 35, which both keeps trackers at bay, and reduces the amount of data used. It would be great to be able to enable this feature on the Jolla browser.

It is normally enabled from the about:config page, with the

privacy.trackingprotection.enable

flag

Edit:Here is a page about the feature from the mozilla site to give some more context. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/tracking-protection-firefox

With all the ad-agencies letting everything go through validation, this feature has become even more relevant.

Isn't it just enabling the "Do Not Track" flag? If so, that seems pretty useless (and maybe even harmful since that would just scream "Hey I'm doing something interesting here but don't you dare track me or I'll... er-r-r... do nothing".)

Decent adblocker would be much more useful.

Nowadays you are able to enable it but it does not work. The test site from mozilla.org https://itisatrap.org/firefox/its-a-tracker.html tells that it is not working, i.e. it's not blocking third-party trackers. Maybe the blacklist is wrong? The info site does not even mention the list mozpub-track-digest256 used in Jolla Browser.
