The latter. I want to know the command that starts or stops what in "settings" is called "Standort ( in German, should be "Positioning" in English). Foe example i can start the calculator by the command "/usr/bin/jolla-calculator" in command line. is that possible with the setting " gps"?

You want to toggle if it is allowed to start, like using the switch in Settings?!

Yes I want to use it in the app "Situations". It is not yet implemented there - one has to accomplish it by using a cli command. Like a service that can be started or stopped by command .

Ok - i was somehow off the track here. I thought the positioning has to be started like a service ( i.e. tohd.service). I wasn't aware that the gps-setting just gives/takes a permission to use the gps. Well - thanks anyway for being patient :-) Greetings
