Music player keeps scanning SD card every time

Hi,

got a 128gb sd card with about 60gb music on it. Every music player I have tried (sailfish or android) keeps scanning the card on start up. Therefore, I need to selected an album/band/song to play and I have also to wait about 30 seconds until the scanning is complete. That's quite annoying.

Anybody an idea, how to solve this?

30sec doesnt sound like enough time to scan 60gb of music. are you sure its not just taking 30sec to finish displaying everything?

Which sailfish players have you tried?

Not yet. But I have installed QuasarMX yesterday evening. I will try it out - thanks for the tip! :)

Maybe it just takes 30secs to display everything. But that's way to long and all the players are losing the playlist. Have tried Daedelus and the built-in Music player of Sailfish.

yeah its a flaw in the jolla-media player, which was one of the reasons I wrote my own, which you can find on open repos
