Move emails between multiple IMAP accounts

I have currently configured three IMAP accounts on my Jolla. I can move emails without any problem from one folder to another folder in the same email account. But I didn't find an option to move the mail to a folder in another email account.

Is there any possibility to move mails from one email account to another using the preinstalled mail client?

I dont think that is possible. How would 1 email account of yours know about the folder structure in another email account? Just because your phone has multiple email accounts confirgured does not mean that all of those accounts are able to talk to each other

I'm aware that the server isn't aware of another server just because I added them to the same client. But a lot of email clients implement moving the mail between accounts on the client side. I would think that it is just implemented the following way:

  1. The client downloads the email (including header) from server 1
  2. It upload the email (including header) to server 2
  3. The client delets the mail on server 1

Of course every step should be checked before the next step is executed so that no mails are lost.

There are no such option, except that you can always forward the mail to your desired account.

Thanks for the answer. Now I know for sure, that I don't have to search for the function any more in the current client version.

It would be a nice feature for a future version of the email client. A lot of clients (like Thunderbird or the email client on the Nokia N900) are able to move mails to other accounts.

Edit: Forwarding is not really an alternative. A lot of header information is lost when the mail is just forwareded. But thanks for the suggestion.
