I had a weird issue with my Jolla. Yesterday I noticed I could change any of the camera settings. E.g. if I chose another flash setting in the pulldown menu, the setting got active for less than a second before automatically reverting to the original setting. This happened even when changing the active camera. Soon after noticing the camera issue, I noticed it affected also the keyboard (long space press): choosing another layout failed the same way as with the camera settings.

Rebooting the phone didn't help with issue, but finally I found a solution for this: I went to "Settings -> System -> Text input" and changed the "Active keyboard" setting! After that, both the camera and the keyboard started working again.

Addition to above, I'm now having the same issue again, and this time the trick above doesn't work. What can I do?!

This is certainly getting interesting (and scary). Now I'm facing also this issue with the Store: https://together.jolla.com/question/7988/problem-with-store-unable-to-install/?answer=37218#post-id-37218

So it turned out, this was about the metadata issue of the filesystem. I finally got around it by running btrfs balance through the recovery mode. Just needed to apply these instructions:

  1. https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/204709607
  2. https://jolla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202514138-How-to-copy-data-from-Home-to-SD-card-in-Recovery-Mode
  3. https://together.jolla.com/question/30822/root-and-home-disks-full-and-causing-various-problems/

Next, in order to avoid this in the future, I need to figure out how utilise an SD card for my pictures and/or Android apps.
