... what exactly does "if paired with one for different languages" mean ? ( cf. https://blog.jolla.com/early-access-sailfish-os-bjorntrasket/ )

Are layouts set via Bluetooth - i.e. the actual H/W is addressed ( and the keyboard must support this ) or are the layouts interpreted by the OS ?

Neither restarting apps nor rebooting the device helped to recognize a German input layout ( Logitech K810 ) - despite being choosen via "Settings > System > Text input > Active layout". Input layout interpretation remained US/English ( OS language). Even setting the VKB to the same desired language scheme before restarting didn't help.

Thanks for any ideas, answers or fixing the bug.

Haven't received my TOHKBD to verfiy this yet :/ .... I'm having trouble with a Logitech Bluetooth K810 KB :|

@launchpad, TOHKBD uses Bluetooth so the bug is for any Bluetooth keyboard, which you confirmed by gaining same results on your Logitech. You're basically stuck on US layout regardless of the settings.

ok thanks, so closing it ! Never had the TOHKBD in my hands, even ordered long ago ( by November 2014 ? ) Thought it operates via I2C ....

Haha, maybe you're correct ... it was Jolla's release note that said "Bluetooth keyboards" .. so I jumped to conclusions that also TOHKBD was running Bluetooth ... nevertheless the same bug keeps us from using other layouts. ... summer vacation needed ... ;)
