Setting up correctly GMX (United Internet) Calendar in SFOS

Hi community, I stumbled right now over a very old problem that I thought was solved in 2015. Setting up calendar for a GMX account.

Since the last OS update my calendar seems not to be syncing at all anymore , in the past I had various times problems with connectivity, so I decided to delete the account and start from scratch. But I guess something on SFOS side has changed and I cann not follow the old description mentioned here anymore: https://together.jolla.com/question/72605/gmx-and-caldav/

Does anybody now what I have to do now differently? the GMX help describes the Thunderbird integration that worked in the past but now comes the error message: Oops! The account couldn't be created. The network request failed.
