Sending mails creates a duplicate of the sent email in the sent folder (you end up with two in the sent folder).

The mails are displayed slightly different though, both in the email app and in the webmail view of hotmail; one is said to have been sent ala "From: myemail@hotmail.com" the other "From: My Name", don't know if that's significant. They're only sent once.

IMAP/POP/Exchange ? Just tried with several accounts and can't reproduce this one, only one email is in the sent folder.

this happens with my hotmail account using imap. only one email is actually sent, but two are saved in sent. the duplicate is also visible in the webmail/browser view of hotmail. when sending a mail with an attachment, the duplicate has no attachment, only text.

let me know if there's anything more I can do to help with this and thanks for looking into it.

Did you fix it for hotmail addresses only? When I send emails from an account I added recently on the phone, nothing ends up in the Sent folder.

@luen - No, this is for all we don't have any provider specific code at all. Could you check if you have two "Sent" folders, maybe in the language the server is in ? might be that folder matching failed.

@VDVsx No, there is only one "Sent" folder (located at INBOX/Sent on the server), and in it I see emails I have sent from other clients, but not emails sent from the Jolla. The strange thing is that another account on my Jolla works. Both accounts are hosted at DreamHost, but for the other (working) account, the matching seems OK (there is a localized version of the Sent folder - "Skickat" - and emails sent from the Jolla are placed there). The location on the server is the same (INBOX/Sent) for both accounts. The working account was added long time ago, but the non-working was added last week (having 1.1.1.27 installed).

@luen - At least that name does not exist on our manual matching, ofc it should do automatic matching if server advertises the folders properly. Are you able to collect the logs, then I can confirm the issue and in case of no automatic match I can add that one. in

/home/nemo/.config/QtProject/Messageserver.conf

enable file log and add a path for the log, like for example:

[FileLog]
Enabled=1
Path=/home/nemo/Documents/messageserver.log

Then restart the device or just restart messageserver5

systemctl --user stop messageserver5
systemctl --user start messageserver5

Reproduce the problem by configuring the account again, there's no problem in duplicating it, so no need to remove other account, send me the log file to mail-logs at jolla dot com. After that turn file log off again by setting "enabled" to 0.Thanks a lot!
