More strangeness, where is the earlier-home-screen-pulley selection to switch phone silent / sounds on? That is ESSENTIAL. Can't be just disappeared, must have been noticed in internal testing. Please give a hint, where that feature lies!

I definately do not want to create every ambience twice just to have silent and non-silent version of it.

Answer: It's hardware volume down button (long-press), tnx @ossi1967

There's a pre-defined ambience for "silent". Of course you can also define your own with 0% ringtone volume.

To make quick'n'dirty fix I'll create a special ambience to mimic silent profile, but that's not a real solution.

Thanks, there's already ambience for silent operation. But still, it doesn't bring the possibility to switch phone silent when still using the favourite ambience. I do not consider it very clever to have every ambience twice, just to have silent and non-silent version. It would be just stupid.

I'd like it back to. Sometimes it is useful to have rather than change an ambiance.

If you're not content with having a "silent profile" (which I think is sweet), just long-press volume down. It will set the ringtone volume to 0.

Nice, that's what I was looking for, thanks!

IMHO that feature should make its way to the (yet-to-be-added) home screen pulley.

This worked 1 time for me, then it stopped working..?

And it did just silence the phone, it lowered the volume, so having ringtone (and email/chat/etc) turned of while listening to radio isn't possible without a special ambience.

Don't get me wrong: I think Ambiences is a great idea - not that I use them though ;) - it's just a bad idea to remove basic options like this.

I was looking for it too for a while: it's one of the new ambiences.
